Weather and your pets.

Updated: Jan 12

Protect your pets in the heat! Give them a water bowl to dip their feet/lay in, make sure its a safe amount. Give them frozen water in a plastic bottle to lay on or by. If in a shed put a rotation fan or 2 on. Take the straw out the hutch and leave a bit in the back corner to wee and poop on. Get them in a shaded run with a water bottle attached. Take them indoors in a cool pet proofed room. Pets die very fast if too hot!

Protect your pets from getting too cold! Bunnies and piggys are very tolerant to cold weather so don't panic too much. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TAKING BUNNYS/PIGGYS INDOORS AND PUTTING THEM BACK OUT WHEN WARMER!!! Pet's fur/hair changes to suit their climate and the season so putting them inside will change their fur/hair. This means you can shock your bunny/piggy when you put them back outside, even when it's warm out! Give them more straw for warmth and cover your hutch (you can get thermal covers), you can also put them in an unheated shed/ garage/ outhouse.

LOOK AFTER YOUR PETS THEY NEED YOUR HELP IN THIS WEATHER!
